It's been awhile but I have a few newbies who may want to visit a reserve this spring.
Minsmere on May 28th is looking likely- you have been warned -
I may bring a scope this time!

For advice about Birding, Identification, field guides, binoculars, scopes, tripods, etc - put 'Birding Tips' into the search box
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
I bet that date won't arrive quick enough.
It'll be a grand day whatever, but I hope you have a better than good day.

I don't think any hides will open before June, as part of the Covid outdoors only policy.
Out of nosiness, I'm curious on the abbreviation 'TX'
I used to use that a lot in a former, none nature related life....
seymouraves said:Tx guys- if the hides aren't open I may defer to Lakenheath and its environs instead S
That's a lovely reserve as well - and it only has one hide, the rest are viewing points.
As I recall, Minsmere said the earliest the hides will open is May 17th.

= thanks ... as far as I'm aware!

It is abbrev for thanks, along with TNX.
However, I hadn't seen TX or even TNX used outside of professional radio messaging.
Kind regards, Ann

I had forgotten, the early days of mobile phones, where texts cost money and were limited to I think 160 characters, inc spaces!
The fun we had making up new abbreviations, and the lingo got called Text Talk!
