Peregrines at Heathrow

I think so yes . I cant see the nest though but both birds can be seen flying around the building clearly. They get swooped at by the seagulls but dont seem bothered at all . I haven't seen them catch a pigeon yet but they narrowly missed one earlier. The female is noticeably larger than the male .

Sounds as if you're getting good views Benjamin, any chance of pictures?

It's amazing how Peregrines have adapted to urban life, Benjamin. Years ago you would only see them in remote craggy areas but these days they are inhabiting all sorts of man made structures sometimes with the help of people.
In my view, birds that can adapt to a changing environment are the ones with the best chance of prospering.
I hope they do nest and you can see how they get on.

I'm afraid I only have pics from my phone which are terrible . I just saw them catch a pigeon which was brilliant!

Well done you, and do enjoy, they should be just about to lay eggs,so try and figure out where the nest is situated,maybe there would be an advantage point for you to see nearby.

Your pics will always be appreciated, dont be put off by our fantastic photographers, there are many of us with just phones.

If they come near enough , try and see if they have any rings on their legs,but whatever enjoy.

We can see Heathrow from Kingston College. It would be great if one of yours was from a previous Kingston brood. Can you see leg rings on either bird?

I haven't got that close to them yet . I think their best is on the North side of the building which I dont have access to but they appear to be hunting on the south side which is great . I will keep a look out for rings on their feet though and thanks for the comment .
