Following on from my post on a visit to Bempton at the weekend, here are a few photos from the Sunday which we spent at Flamborough Head Nature reserve. Fortunately we didn't have the 'pollen' bug issue there!
Plenty of birds to see (kittiwakes, fulmars, puffins and gulls again) but more of a binocular job as most were too far for photos! So these photos are mainly landscapes and insects!
A few of general views
Not forgetting the iconic landmark!
Not great photos as they were some way out, but a first for me! Common scoter:
Lots of small skippers, and this one allowed me to get very close with the macro setting
A hoverfly (Volucella pellucens I think)
Some eggs, anyone know what laid them please?
Juv kittiwake (love those markings! If only they kept them!)
And some grey seals
Well worth a visit!

Hi MarJus,
Lovely photos once more I,especially the kittiwake in flight. I also like the second landscape with the flowers in the foreground. Looks like another place to add to that ever growing list of mine!

It is too easy to miss really good threads like this.
Wonderful photos MarJus, the close-ups are amazing. Sorry I have no idea about the eggs either but hopefully some one will know.
Kind regards Jane.

Sorry MarJus I missed your original post - probably because I was there as well.
I love the landscape and macro shots. I'm rubbish at landscape shots and you've spotted images that I'd have missed.

Thank you SB, Jef and Richard for your kind comments!
Richard - did you have the pollen beetle 'issue' at Bempton? Never seen so many in all of my life!!

Hi MarJus
Pollen Beetles - Millions of the little Blighters and they only went for my Partner. She was covered in them - still that's partly her fault for wearing bright clothing.
Sorry MarJus - Forgot to ask: Where were the seal shots taken ?
Juvenile Kittiwakes are soooooo pretty, when I first saw one I was amazed at how pretty they are when they have those lovely markings on the wings!
Millie & Fly the Border Collies
We sat on a bit which stuck out (blue circle), but not too close to the edge (!) and the seals were swimming about roughly where the green circle is:
Thankfully I had a khaki green t-shirt on too! So not as bad as some people but still got covered in them at times! Lucky they don't bite!!
