Following on from my post on a visit to Bempton at the weekend, here are a few photos from the Sunday which we spent at Flamborough Head Nature reserve. Fortunately we didn't have the 'pollen' bug issue there!
Plenty of birds to see (kittiwakes, fulmars, puffins and gulls again) but more of a binocular job as most were too far for photos! So these photos are mainly landscapes and insects!
A few of general views
Not forgetting the iconic landmark!
Not great photos as they were some way out, but a first for me! Common scoter:
Lots of small skippers, and this one allowed me to get very close with the macro setting
A hoverfly (Volucella pellucens I think)
Some eggs, anyone know what laid them please?
Juv kittiwake (love those markings! If only they kept them!)
And some grey seals
Well worth a visit!

The eggs are a mystery here
I am sure that someone will ID them on here
Do you think they might be Butterfly/Moth eggs?
How big are they in real terms?
Wonderful shots of a very iconic location. A good place from which to obsevrve the Autumn Migration I am told?
Thank you Al, Judi and Ifa!
Kathy - they were small, photo taken on grass seed head. Each egg was around 2-3 mm. Must be some sort of insect, most likely a butterfly or moth as you say! I'm just curious!
