Saw my first ever adder yesterday at Glen Esk while on a training day for NARRS! Brilliant to see and I'm thrilled to bits about it, and I got a photo too! I thought the head was buried but when I looked at the photo full size on my computer I saw the head too! Woo hoo!
And today since the weather is so lovely I went up to Loch Lee - might only be April and snow still on the peaks but I was walking along in my t-shirt it was that hot today! No adders spotted today unfortunately though I did glimpse a lizard vanishing into the undergrowth, but saw a couple of toads, meadow pipit, pied wagtail, oystercatcher, curlew and a mystery little wader. No sign of the peregrines that I usually see there though, and oddly no buzzards eirther!

Congratulations KatTai,
I'm entralled by Adders. I spend quite a bit of time on my knees, trying for good shots on my local patch.
Great Toad shots too!

Blimey you are brave - I would have run a mile, then some !!
Lovely photos by the way

Hi KatTai. I love your photographs, esp. the grumpy looking toads.
