Had a great day at Girdleness (The point where the Lighthouse stands at Aberdeen)
walking along by the Breakwaters we watched :-
Eider
Cormorant
Shag
Oystercatcher
Turnstone
herring Gull
Grater Black Gull
Curlew ( Not seen one for a few years so was realy pleased)
Gannet (Diving)
Razorbill
Gulliemot
Gooseander
Scoter..
Round the garden plots we saw:-
Goldfinch
Starling
Dunnock
Rock Pippet
Meddow Pippet
Skylark
Oh aye and at least 10 Dolphins feeding at the Harbour mouth . Some jumping clear of the water.
Weather wise is was nasty with one heck of a wind and driving rain at times but worth gettin a wee bit damp I thought!

I sometimes miss living near the coast in Scotland and the wide variety of wildlife and birds. Sounds like you had a worthwhile, if damp, trip.Any photos?!!

My Camrea has given up the ghost on me. So need to look at getting a cheep replacement .
But all in all It was an amasing day . I do love to watch the Dolphins dance infront of the Supply boats Its like a game to them.

Sounds like you had a great day AL! To come up to that part of the world is at the top of my list at the moment and experience all the different birds and wildlife I don't get to see where I am!
