Does anyone know why last year and again this The Chichester Cathedral Peregrine Webcam has not been on line. Its really missed in this household, They must be near hatching by now???
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Spike Milligan
Apparently the cam was supposed to be up and running by 23rd March but it isn't. We do not know why.

Thanks for that Tiger. Will just have to read about them instead. : (

This is the info I have about arrangements:
RSPB page (not yet updated from 2009) http://www.rspb.org.uk/datewithnature/sites/chichester/index.asp
Cathedral Website - for 2010
http://www.chichestercathedral.org.uk/dyn/pages/whats-on/10th-anniversary-of-the-cathedral-peregrines.shtml
Though the latter talks about a webcam and viewing point from 24th April (not March), I am not sure they really mean a webcam - last year it was closed circuit TV on site only. Tiger - if you are aware of plans for it to be streamed on the web, what site was it due to be on?
The first egg was laid on March 20/21st and I saw on the Sussex Ornithological Society site this week that there are now four - so the hatch date is also likely to be around April 24th.
The best site I have found for following them is this blog: http://www.chichesterperegrines.co.uk/blog.htm
Hate to say it, but I have the possibility of going down there!

Roy Derby
Thanks for that Roy, hd forgotten about Derby watched it last year.
This is not an attempt to resurrect a thread from 2010!! rather just to mention that, after a successful 2017 season, the webcam is live again. It is on Carnyx Wild for anyone who is interested.Ian
First 2018 egg has just been laid. Ian
Female was on the nest earlier, she has just left to reveal one handsome looking egg. Ian
Brilliant!
Ian - I would prefer not to go on using a thread from 2010 - I'll start a new one.
Hi Sue, it wasn't really my intention to post on a regular basis to this (there seem to be plenty other peregrine sites), but I got a bit carried away last night & this morning. If you want to start a new thread then that would be good & we can see how it goes. I think the last dedicated thread was in 2016 so there might not be huge interest. Thanks Ian
