  • Hi Bazzaboy, welcome to the forum.

Without knowing your exact location, there must be dozens of streams, rivers, lakes and other water bodies that will give you every chance of seeing a Kingfisher!

I lived and worked in Abridge Essex many years ago, and frequented  Epping Forest, Chigwell and the Chelmsford area to do some birding.

Kingfishers were often sighted on the above mentioned bodies of water at various locations.

The links below will give you some ideas of locations were you should see them.

Birds of Prey locations are generally not publicised for fear of persecution and most sites are kept undisclosed.

I personally wont provide any such information of any sites and I'm sorry for the sad state of affairs that has lead to this been the case.

Again I'm sure if you visit the correct habitat and local nature reserves and talk to other local birders they may share some locations with you.

Hope this helps and good luck with your quest!

    Regards Buzzard
