Just a few photos from yesterday in Kingston-Upon-Thames. The birds are there if you look in the right place, which isn't necessarily down by the Thames.

Absolutely brilliant captures MC, who'd have thought you'd see a Heron on a rooftop!! AND a superb Peregrine too, just casually thrown into the mix!!!

Maybe it's a Kestrel that's been spending a lot of time in the gym, going for that buff Peregrine look!
You did well to spot that Heron on the roof. I'd quite like one on my house for a garden tick but I've only ever seen them flying over.
Mr P is looking pretty chilled I must say.

Thanks TJ. The Herons do favour the rooftops in Kingston. I have seen as many as six on the Guildhall before now. They gather just before dusk. Not sure if they remain overnight. Mr P can afford to look chilled, the kids have left home and the Mrs won't be back on a permanent basis until next February!

It certainly is Christine. Apart from the Robin, they are all on man made structures of one sort or another.
It'll soon be time for the winter birds as well, I've seen Redwings in the streets leading up from the river and even a flock of Waxwings in Surbiton High Street.
