Hi, I have been a member of the RSPB for over 25 years, but have only just joined the on-line community. I had the good fortune to join a friend for a boat trip to Upware last week, and we had a great walk alongside Burwell Lode, where we heard a Bittern Booming closeby outside of the actual reserve, as well as watching a displaying pair of Marsh Harriers and we heard so many warblers, including at least 6 Cetti's, who were even louder than the copious wrens. It really is a magical place at this time of year.
