..... in the Welsh countryside!!
Dad goes walking every Saturday, and last weekend, he walked in the Welshpool area and came across this 'sitting' in a field!!! It was some distance away but is quite clearly a vulture!!! An escapee I wonder? Had a look on the internet but no reports of 'missing vultures' anywhere!

Wow! Who'd believe it if he hadn't taken a photo?
Happy Days :))
LOL!!!! Apparently, it looks like a turkey vulture because it is a TURKEY!! A wild American turkey!!! There are some loose in the parkland of Powis Castle for 'shooting' with the pheasants! Wouldn't fit one of those in my oven!!!!
Well what do you know!!. Amazing what turns up in the British countryside. Thanks for letting us know, Marjus. Pity these hunters can't find something more useful to do with their time.

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Damnation, Squirrel is quite right!
Poor MarJus, I'm sorry about the ID, but still an amazing bird. You will have something to laugh about now for years!!
Cheers, Linda.
