It is my regular dose of wildlife happiness, and it is just the best could ever happen.
Anyone else an avid watcher of this programme.

That's great news; love the programme although do find Chris Packham extreeemly irritating!! Still I can put up with him for the rest of the team and the content of the show!

Sadly some people find Chris Packham grating. IMHO, I think part of the fact he has a lisp seems to affect some people. Still though, I think his heart and his interest of wildlife is so there who can complain about him.
Cannot wait to see the programme and once back from, Menorca, Spain will enjoy with a glass of wine anyday.

I also find Chris Packham a tad irritating, nothing to do with any lisp. I hadn't really noticed he had one!

I'm in the other camp. I like Chris because its such a rarity these days to have someone with obvious knowledge being allowed on to mainstream broadcasting (bit like Adam for the lambing)
Its Kate I find ultra-annoying (heresy I'm sure), always have done, and MHG is taking some getting used to.
I dislike the trend in broadcasting to treat the audience as 10 year olds, presenters always bouncing around like Tigger, full of forced enthusiasm and faux discoveries!

I'm with you there - Kate really gets on my nerves, I can't watch her anymore.
I used to love Spring/Autumnwatch (despite her presence) and would almost burst with anticipation when it was getting close to that time of year. But since they introduced Chris Packham (although I know he is incredibly knowledgable and that's admirable and commended) they seem to be desperate to appeal to the "yoof" with their constant referrals to drinking/pubs/late night curries etc. I can't stand it.

Springwatch 2009 was the 1st year I watched every episode and used the website quite a bit.
My enjoyment also spread into Autumnwatch and Snow-watch, These programmes have greatly enhanced my enjoyment of the world around us.
I look forward to Srpingwatch 2010, I wonder if they are using Pensthorpe again..?
Ditto, I was thinking the same, and even the extra programmes that they have on the side are just fact based.
It is amazing what we learn about our subject without us delving in a minefield of books.
Love the programmes and never tire of them at all.

I've been thinking about how the BBC has cut back on funding its programmes and how it has slaughtered the Gardening programmes, I'm just grateful that it continues to invest in its Natural History content.
That's why I'm always keen to thank them for good programming such as Springwatch, as it all adds up for the future.
