As the weather has really improved this month, I have been very busy with a number of projects.
I have also picked some of the days with clear blue skies to go and revisit areas of interest to try and get better photo's with the sun on some of the birds that I shot on the colder drab days.
I was lucky enougth to get relatively close to this male Goldcrest, you can seperate the male and female by the colours on the crown. The male has an orange tinge mixed in with the yellow!
Europes smallest bird, not the easiest of birds to photo!

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
What a gorgeous little bird, and wonderful photo's, would love to see a Goldcrest, I take it they are fast movers like the wren, I always imagine the Wrens little legs must be a blur, the speed they move, I only imagine this as they don't hang about long enough to see, one minute they are there the next minute they are gone.
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.

Excellent Goldcrest shots, Buzzard! They're a hard bird to catch in my opinion, because of their size.
Haven't seen out Goldcrest(s) for a while, your photos make me miss the little chap!
I know what you mean about photography - there is so much to learn! Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed I put the camera down!
