As the weather has really improved this month, I have been very busy with a number of projects.
I have also picked some of the days with clear blue skies to go and revisit areas of interest to try and get better photo's with the sun on some of the birds that I shot on the colder drab days.
I revisited Cowpen Bewley Woodland Reserve, to see if the Ring-necked Duck was still present.
He looks so much different with the sun on him, see what you think!

Nature Is Amazing - Let Us Keep It That Way
Great set of images, Buzzard. He looks extremely smart and healthy in the Spring sunshine. I don't think I would ever have picked him out from the Tufties unless someone pointed him out to me.
Do you think he's a genuine vagrant or an escapee from a collection? Whats likely to happen to him? Do they interbreed with Tufted Ducks?

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!

thankyou for your kind coments. He is a genuine vagrant as far as I know, his movements have been tracked from what I have been told!
He may well stay as he seems very happy and has been here for several months, or he could be driven back to warmer climates?
I will keep an eye out for him each time I visit the reserve.
