Hi There
I thought I would open this thread in relation to all the up and coming outings arranged by people/staff {bless them} from nature reserves etc...our special patch.
I have lots organised in the next 4 months or so, and a full diary of events.
Leighton Moss {a bit of a drive but worth it for a weekend}
The RSPB Headquarters, Sandy
Bedford Birders outings
Rutland/Grafham Reserves
Marston Vale Reserve
Paxton Pits Reserve
Titchwell/Norfolk Reserves
The big event is a walk about when the yearly Dawn chorus is in full flow. I think gettiing up at 4am would be the greatest thing to happen for the big event. Which reserve is something we will think about hmmmm will mull over that.
Anyone got any 'organised' outings in their diary at all?
Regards
Kathy and Dave
Hi,
I keep my outings in Norfolk fluid - especially in spring and autumn. :) No good taking people to Holme if there is a migrant fall or a good selection of waders at Burnham Overy :)
When you coming to Norfolk?

Hi, Nothing booked as yet but I am planning a trip to Skomer Island in June to see puffins. I've worn OH down at last. Lol!
There is something new to learn everyday...

And I'm off to Anglesey in 4 weeks for a whole week, so hope to spend some time at South Stack, hubby willing!!! I might also get to see some puffins.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi all, Hi Blackbird
It's coming up to Easter school holidays soon so have a yearning to go back to Minsmere RSPB in Suffolk, hopefully if OH gets the time off. We are also looking for a break for the May'June half term and my sights are set firmly towards to Isle of Skye but OH has his sights set firmly towards Fort William as for some reason he wants to climb that big hill they've got nearby there!

some good birding places close to Fort William- and various cetaceans etc off shore :)
Hi S
Thanks for that. We visited FW a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately we didn't see any dolphins or even Nessie for that matter!! :)

Hi, I think there are now whale trips, otter and pine marten trails and local birds should include redstart, black guillemot, etc....
