Crossness - nothing much today except the Peregrine

I know I'm always posting pictures of them but I like them

Last of the Terns this year. This one flew in on it's own and only stayed a few minutes. Probably having a last feed before heading south

Juvenile Gulls flying over. I can never decide what make, I think this is a Lesser Black Backed.

As promised, a Peregrine Falcon. Hope you were not expecting too much. This one was perched on top of the waste incinerator in Thamesmead and was about a quarter of a mile away. I waited for ages, hoping it would fly but no luck

  • You can wait a long time for a perched Peregrine to fly. At Yat Rock on Sunday our resident male sat on the same ledge for nearly five and a half hours. One of his predecessors managed seven and a half a few years back.

Every day a little more irate about bird of prey persecution, and I have a cat - Got a problem with that?
