Had a fabulous week on The Isle of Mull despite the rain and the wind, which stopped us from going out on the boat. Nevertheless we saw some great sights and intend to return next year. A few photos from our trip
Common Sandpiper
Whinchat
Swallow collecting Nesting Material
Adder
White Tailed Sea Eagles
Golden Eagle
Tobermory
Damp Mistle Thrush
Buzzard
Otter
Think I had better stop there. We also saw crossbills for the first time, and Red Throated Divers, but alas too far away for photos

Beautiful photos, Judi. Mull is somewhere I'd really like to visit.

@Limpy It's a long journey but well worth it
@Bob You can tell from the photos the sunny day we had
Great photos there the sea eagle, esp with the herring gull, really gives an idea of the enormity of the sea eagle!! My fav has to be the swallow though, really love their enthouiasm + chattery attitude.

I'm sorry you had poor weather, Judi, but you still managed to see a lot of fabulous wildlife. The photo of the eagle and gull is a great capture that shows perfectly just how big the eagles are. Your photos are all excellent.
Cheers, Linda.

I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday, Judi, even if the weather was a bit damp. Cracking photos. How wonderful to see a White-tailed Eagle and a Golden Eagle. I love the one of the Gull mobbing the eagle many times its size. Super photo of the Whinchat - that's a bird I've never managed to snap.

Thanks for posting these pics Judi, I've always wanted to go there and they've just whetted my appetite! Sea eagle and golden eagle wow, bet it made your heart skip a beat.
Lot to learn
Fantastic pics from one of my fave places. Love the clarity of the sandpiper - were you perched in the next nest?!!

Thank you all for your responses. We found a beautiful 2 person cottage in between Loch na Keal and Loch Ba, with lovely hosts living on site. We did a tour with Wild about Mull which gave us a great insight in where to find things. Unfortunately the winds stopped us going out on the Sea Eagle boat Lady Jayne and the boat to Staffa, but we have booked early for next year and are going the end of May, before the midges arrive LOL
