I can highly recommend Potteric Carr on the edge of Doncaster. All sorts of gems to be seen. Also Blacktoft Sands near Crowle. I try to get to both as often as possible (unfortunately not often enough)
Cheers

Why is there never enough time?
Hi Ladybird
I must agree..Blacktoft Sands is a spot on reserve and have enjoyed all visits..Lots to see if you have the time to sit and wait with a warm coffee and some Bins..
Glad you mentioned Potteric Carr.. looking to go there next weekend for first time..will let you know how i get on.
Enjoy

I saw my first ever Bearded Tit at Blacktoft and my first Bittern at Potteric. At Potteric (in my experience) Piper Marsh hide is the best for Bittern and willow pool hide (which has feeders) is great for watching all the small birds. I hope you like it. Let me know how you get on!!
