This morning, on my way to work, I stopped to see if the hares were about as usual.
I walked along the edge of a field, to a gap in the hedge into another field where I sometimes see them... imagine my surprise when I reached the gap and saw this hare just the other side!! Imagine HIS surprise!!! We stared at each other for a millisecond; I then quickly took two pics before he shot off!! Wow!
Hope the image stays a while...

Great photos again, Marjus. It's a real priviledge to see these lovely creatures in action. Are you able to tell the male from the female? The one on the left in both photos looks bigger but I don't know.......................
Keep them coming.

Thank you all very much! It is really exhilarating to watch them boxing!
Squirrel! Lol! Hope you're ok! ;-)
TJ, the female is larger than the male but not always easy see the difference! More often than not, I go by behaviour! Such as in the ones below, the male (on the right) kept coming on the female and she was getting fed up with it! She only had to flatten her ears and raise her body and he backed off!!

I can relate to that. LOL Thanks for the info.
Hi MarJus
The last 2 (should I say 3 sets) of pictures are just the best ever
You are lucky to live so close to the Hares and gat a chance to see them and watch their antics.
Great to see all the pictures on this thread at the moment.

Kathy and Dave
Thanks once again MarJus. She is certainly making her feelings known to him !
Thank you MarJus. Your pictures show us a little of the private lives of these hares. Brilliant.
Cheers, Linda.

LOL.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hell of a shot! Very clear, he looks ready to bolt in your photo you captured him just in time.
Oh have now just seen the last one, wonderful!
