Just seen up to about a dozen Red Kites circling over the village. Never seen so many in the sky all at once.
I managed to take a few shots as they circled low over my garden. Here are some of the better photos. I just hope they don't all disappear after I've posted them.

Wonderful photos of wonderful birds. We often go up to Gibside as it is so near just to watch this magnificent sight. Never got a photo myself yet. Whenever I take anything moving I end up with a picture of the sky or the ground or a telegraph pole but not the intended "model"

Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!

Thanks Janet. They really are fabulous birds - I never tire of watching them. I see you live in Northamptonshire so the ones you see must come from Rockingham Forest. Regards
TJ
Wonderful photos TJ. I don't think I have ever seen a red kite in the flesh.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi TeeJay
yeah they come from Rockingham forest, I have been told they have let quite a few go, over 70 birds.
Super photographs TeeJay. Thank you
Great shots TJ and I can actually see them!
They fly over where I live but they are usually very high up.
Best wishes Chris
