Wigeons

Same walk as all the cormorants: loads of wigeons at Colwick Park.    At first I though they were some sort of pochard because of the reddish brown heads, but I'm not used to seeing lareg numbers of pochards together so I was mystified.   Then I noticed the yellowish foreheads and the white wing flashes and looked them up in the book.  Just call me Lieutenant Wigeon!  Very pretty birds.
