Song or mistle thrushes?

  I am no expert but tend to agree Songthrush, but wait for others ,as you know we have some wonderful Members, with more knowledge.

  I'm going  to be different, mistle thrush.

  But I'm wildly guessing with the boldness of the eye.

  I referred to this as the ‘thrush bush’ as there were stacks of thrushes all day in this tree, especially lots of redwing. The four I generally saw were blackbirds, redwings and then the spotted thrushes; some of which with more pale undersides and some with light/brown golden flanks

  I'm still erring toward mistle thrush.

  Fear not, someone will come to our aid and put us out of our misery.....

  I'm opting for Song Thrush the head looks a bit dark for Mistle to me. Ellis , love those last four pics very atmospheric even if they don't help much with id

  Thanks, I really enjoyed just watching all of the thrushes scavenging the berries, I was surprised how they swallow them whole. I couldn’t get close to them because of the banks of the shore were steep so I just decided to use my binoculars
