Hi everyone,
Never seen either Snipe species before and am not 100% sure which this is. The length of the beak seems to be more in line with Common Snipe but from some pics/videos online these seem fairly big compared to what I saw. The one in the pic had a body size similar to a blackbird and bobbed around a bit (not sure if they both do that).
Any help much appreciated :)
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
