Hi Chris, yes this is a Rock Pipit, looks good for ssp. littoralis.

OK, ssp. littoralis = sub species littoralis. The usual Rock Pipits we see round our shores are Anthus petrosus, brownish greyish-olive birds with an indistinct supercillium (or 'eyebrow'). The sub species Anthus petrosus littoralis are birds from the Fenno-Scandia region which are greyer birds with a very distinct supercillium and usually a very dark bill, as per your pic, a reasonably regular but relatively scarce passage migrant/visitor to our shores. So a great sighting! And a very nice photo. I'd be interested to know where it was seen.
