Garden is full of birds bigger than sparrow, fluffy brown with long beaks but not shiny like starlings. Any idea what they are, feeding from feeder, very aggressive towards each other and other birds.?

We have had sparrows nesting in our boxes and now it looks like they are returning to roost over winter. I have not yet cleaned the boxes out. Shall I leave it or clean them anyway?

Sounds very like juvenile Starlings, rowdy & aggressive, seem to spend more time fighting that eating! Many pics online for you to compare Happy!
