Does anyone have any tips on increasing my chances of seeing a Bearded Reedling at Ham Wall. I have learnt that the best time to see them is September into October as they change their diet to seed and make use of grit trays.
Is it best to look in the morning? Best location or viewing platform. I realise they move around the reedbeds but has any one had any particular success in locating them? How often are the grit trays replenished?
Many thanks, I’m still hopeful that I will be successful
Not sure on Ham Wall, but I Saw them at Rainham Marshes. They are most easily found in grit trays.
