The pair showed up on 13th March & were checking out the nest - here's hoping..............
Have posted all I've taken today, unedited, as I'm so excited!!! They both flew off & now Mr Kestrel has returned to nest & sitting, waiting like a spider in the middle of a web! Just going to video him

Am thrilled & put off my Horlicks...all at the same time....Still willing to be Godfather to boisterous Kestrel children, though. :-)
My two lovelies are still coming & going & playing at nesting & laying!!! Much time spent preening & eating on top of telegraph pole and perusing the world from the front of the nest hole.............but are there any eggs yet?? Have told them that they have three at Arne already but I wonder if they are listening to me!!....
Mr K yesterday
And today
And a short vid 'cos he's so handsome
Mrs K today
Bit of overkill but I couldn't choose a 'best' one 'cos she's so lovely - and a short vid of her, first to telegraph pole today...

Much drumming of fingers in the EB household.Wish they`d stop with the ...."We`re just too busy looking GOOD" thingy. lol.
You & me both EB - all I know for sure is that he is not bringing food to her in nest - the noise that accompanies that action can be heard all over the quarry!!!
You are very welcome to share SG - just so glad you want to!
Definite signs that Mrs K is sitting on eggs - at 10 this morning Mr K flew in, very noisily as is usual when bringing her food, and there was a changeover in the nest & Mrs K flew in a circuitious route to the telegraph pole clutching what looked like a vole, whereupon she at it!! Pics of Mrs K after the event...
& a very grainy one of Mr K guarding the nest while she eats (such gloom at this time of day!)....
Do hope this is the start of another prolific season --- watch this space!!!
Well captured. Kestrels are gorgeous birds when you see them in close up.
