The pair showed up on 13th March & were checking out the nest - here's hoping..............
Have posted all I've taken today, unedited, as I'm so excited!!! They both flew off & now Mr Kestrel has returned to nest & sitting, waiting like a spider in the middle of a web! Just going to video him

wonderful news thanks WendyB for keeping us updated on these beautiful birds. really appreciated. and I particularly liked the shot of Mrs K flying. excellent!
About 4.30 pm I saw Mr K in nest hole....
Grabbed a quick pic & took cam outside to get clearer shot & he promptly flew off but only to a nearby tree where he sat for quite a while but obscured by branches....
They are getting more vocal now and he was definitely announcing his arrival & then departure as I'm used to seeing & hearing - surely this must mean she is in the nest on eggs & he is bringing food - more tomorrow I hope!!!
All this excitement and I haven't been around, marvellous to see it all and can't wait for more news. Fantastic photos of beautiful birds Wendy I'm just glad I can keep up with it all now. Just wondering who is feeding Mrs WB? :-)
Lot to learn
Just me G but I do a mean banana sandwich lol !!! Did weaken tonight & send Man to hunter/gather fish&chips ! So glad you are fit & well enough to join the party - 'gird your loins ' cos we're in for the long haul!
Lovely photos Wendy, things look like they are hotting up.
Thank you Wendy for all your hard work in maintaining this thread. Your birds are looking really well and their home looks so cozy. Will keep looking in to see how they get on:-)
Looking good, Wendy. They must be nesting now I should think. Mr K is a handsome lad isn't he. Looking forward to more updates.

Brief update for today - saw Mr K in nest but he flew before I could get a shot & I was too slow to get flight shots as indoors & it was raining quite hard & we have been getting a 'Southerly blow' here too, so quite difficult. About 5 pm saw Mrs K in nest hole & grabbed a couple of grainy shots in quite a downpour (*$#" weather!)...
Just pleased to know that they are here regularly & making an effort LOL!
Brilliant news Wendy, thanks for the update and love the pics, it all looks very promising :)
