We often see great pictures of the stars of the bird world but the ordinary birds never get a look in.
I would like to start a picture thread of those birds that we share our everyday lifes with like the Sparrows and Pigeons etc...
Lets all take our cameras out and give them a chance to shine.

Thank you Sparrow (head now too big) - very fortunately have quite a few babies here at mo and they are so obliging - don't flit around so quickly as adults - makes me laugh the way they sit there looking bemused and slightly confused - bit like the photographer!!!
Loved these starlings TJ -have not managed to capture my little yobs here yet but I am trying - spurred on by all yours & others wonderful pics - daren't ask what cam you have!!
A great idea for a thread and some brilliant pictures to support it. I hope you all like these three.....
And to continue the theme....

Glad to see so many great pictures being posted which shows why birds are so important in our everyday lives.
Linda and edgebander I think I can prove that the fish and chips are better down on the South coast.
Need I say more....
Robert.
Don`t know about better.....but....How posh is that?!
Obviously a better class of Gull.
Lovely pics RG - I personally will never tire of my garden birds _ I started feeding them initially in response to sparrow decline and now I have loads and many other varieties
