This Nuthatch was high up in a tree (40-50 feet) next to a footpath we walk along. It appeared to be feeding either on lichen or something in the lichen.
It's found something to eat
Further along branch, it appears to be looking for something to eat.
Got something!

Just seen these on the big screen, Bob... lovely shots, particularly like the wren with the patch of greenery in the snow
Lovely set BD
Thank you Linda. Even if you are being mean and not sharing the sun ...
Thanks Scozmos. We do our best ... with a little help from Photoshop ...
Thanks Snappy. Yea the Gull did look rather strange standing on the ice instad of floating. The Kingfisher was a bit of luck, it flew past me on the canal bank and stopped a bit in front of me. I managed to creep forwards and get a couple of shots before it flew off.
My sun comes with Jack Frost
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
Thanks Hazy, glad you like them. There's not much to take around here at the moment, but it will soon be spring ...
Thanks PB. Not a lot happening at the moment, but always on the look out ... like we do ...
