My daughter had a rare bird in her garden today.
Well I just ghave to thank you for that- I have just come back from a week in Menorca, have gad several other holidays to Spain and the Canaries and have still not got a photo of a Hoopoe - so I'm a tad jealous

My wife and I took a little shortcut through a field in Portugal last year and the place was teeming with them. Must've been 50-60. They weren't bothered by us walking past at all. I left the camera at the hotel, so I don't have a photo of one either...
