Starting off 2023 list already! 7 Winter moths - Operophtera brumata around the front door

And this morning it decided to land on my kitchen window (I think it's the same moth). Just time for a quick snap with the wrong lens. Apologies for the state of the glass.
Have had a good year seeing butterflies this summer, hoping to find other species too, but here are a few for you to enjoy.

Silver-washed fritillary
Small tortoiseshell
Painted lady
Cabbage White
A good selection and great photo's. I have not seen either the Painted Lady or Small Tortoiseshell this year. Never seen a Fritillary...
Excellent Mr Kes. You've got some great shots there. I've never been lucky enough to see a Silver-washed fritillary. In fact haven't seen many varieties of butterflies at all this year in my area. Not seen a Painted Lady or a Gatekeeper this year. I suppose there is time yet, if it ever stops raining ...
