Butterflies and Moths 2023

Haha .... Fingers firmly crossed PB sounds like the Glanvilles' are doing well this year from reports I'm seeing 

  - on the ferry tonight - 1st stop Portsmouth & Chichester  then heading North to Essex! 

Caught my first Small Heath of year today

 

Congrats :o) (ever or this year?) Saw 4 different species of blue where I was today... just sorting the pics... Looks like it's going to be a good year (around here anyway) 3 or 4 different people said they'd never seen so many blues out, but one of the places I saw Marsh Fritillaries last year, regular chap there, says looks like the wet weather earlier may have wiped them out :o(

1st ever! Lol....certainly not hot enough here for flutterbys...Will need a couple of hat pins just to keep my cap on!! Just remember ALL of us in future pleeeeease lol

It's been controversial - has caused much muttering.  

The mint moth has hung around ever since I first saw it which was a couple of days ago I couldn’t get a picture of it then but I got one of it yesterday and it’s still in the garden
