A couple of bad pics of the sparrow hawk

  • I really need to figure a way of getting good pics and being able to get them onto my tablet .
  • They are not that bad. What do you use to take pics the now?

  • I was using my i phone and a canon lumix digital camera , which isn’t to bad but pretty poor through glass, the trouble is trying to get the pics from the card to be able to put them online the laptop is crap and only really use me iPad . The mrs does have a Dslr camera but we don’t have a powerful lense . When we win the lottery we’re promising ourselves a good lense and a descent pc
  • Oh I see..most if mine are taken through the glass and then I put the SD card in my tablet but the pics are always bigger size than the permitted 5.2 allowed so I have to screenshot them all then crop out the background lol...good luck with the lottery ;-)

  • Exactly . I’ve been sat for about 4 hours try to Bluetooth some from my laptop which didn’t work so ended up recording my screen and then they were to big to post haha
  • Lol..when it comes to videos it's usually easier to upload to YouTube then copy the link to the forum. Its a clunky site the forum but very enjoyable

    Canon or Lumix?

Lumix is a Panasonic model, and Canon use Powershot, and both are good camera makes and models

Getting good pictures through a window is not easy at the best of times, no matter how good or expensive your camera and lens are. If the light is low, then that makes things even more difficult, add to that the slightest specs of dust or even residue from the weather, will also impact the clarity of any photo.

While smartphones today are very good cameras today, have their limitations. To take distant or intricate photos is very challenging for the camera itself. They're great for indoor close up portraits, and landscapes, where detail isn't the main requirement.

While its nice to have a big lens, and an all singing all dancing big camera, many compacts and bridge cameras can and will take good clear photos, without breaking the budget.

  • Just seen this , yes it was a Panasonic lumix , the mrs has a canon Dslr unfortunately we don’t have a longer range lense
