I think this is a Gatekeeper,  Have a few of these flying around the garden today. :-)

A Small Tortoiseshell i think.  Plenty of these arriving in the garden today. :-)

Excellent shots! You have caught the detail in the Small Tortoiseshell really well, particularly the blue edging. I agree with your identification of the Gatekeeper and the Small Tortoiseshell. I think Small skipper too.

The Tort is beautiful - it looks very fresh -
I think there is a chance it's an Essex Skipper - the black on the tip looks quite crisp and to the underside, the border also looks diffused

Plenty enough details there Ed, Tortie is fab, Skippers I'm just generally confused by (as you'll find out when I do my next post... I hope Cin reads it lol) and the Gatekeepers have only recently emerged down here as far as I've seen.
