First Green Hairstreak of the year - saw about a dozen but they were all quite flighty

a Small Copper being pretty on pink just because..

Great photos. I've never seen a Green Hairstreak, possibly they aren't around here. We do get the occasional Small Copper, but not many. Mainly Peacock and Meadow Brown at the moment.

First Holly Blue in the Garden today

Holly is its food plant in Spring. I don’t know if it will or not but maybe if im lucky the Butterfly might  be laying eggs. I watched it for almost an hour  and it left and came back To the holly over and over again during that hour.

Great shots! I always like to see Orange-tips, fluttering about in the sunshine. I don't think I have seen a Green Carpet at all.

Thanks guys...sooooo small but sooo pretty and friendly...ended up sitting on my phone as I was trying to get pics without my dirty hand lol

Do love an Orange-tip, so rarely see them. Your gorgeous little friend looks like a very fresh V-pug to me.
