It must be said that very few birds bathe in quite such an eye-catching way as this particular bird:
It helps to be a big bird! Lots more splashing.
Flaunting that wingspan helps as well.
Throw in lots of flapping
And don't forget to honk for sheer pleasure!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
