Time to start this year's thread of odds and sods (Last year's Odds & Sods HERE)
Today a large flock of 40 or so Redwings descended on the fields around our local parkland and although they were pretty skittish and distant I hard cropped a few pics for you ....
and a blue tit landed nearby !

A few from the last couple of days. Local moorland deer, a male nesting kestrel, mandarin and still not sure about the last one (I want to say LTT but not the best photo).
Also a bull that I've seen the last few years below the moors, often mingling close to the deer. Well he's more of a sit and stare bull which is probably for the best but it's an odd mix.
Beautiful blue skies today, wish the wind would drop
The Prostrate Broom is looking fabulous
Now here is a sight not seen for a while - Condor Rapide on passage from Poole to St Malo, ready to resume service - although all sailings are cancelled for Friday due to expected adverse weather - not the best Spring

Lesser Redpoll from this morning.

An early morning snail....
Amid the ongoing raindrops, some from the garden, a pair of great tits all gooey eyed!
And during the sun early afternoon, Sunday 23rd, the house sparrows were busy collecting nesting material.

A Dipper from this afternoon. :-)
Tawny and chicks in a local valley yesterday. I see a lot of little owls and barn owls but not so often the tawnies, only the third time in 7 years walking there that one was out late enough for a quick snap in passing..
Craster yesterday
Little owl this morning. Lives in a derelict barn in the local valley and I've been watching and posting for a couple of years or so. Out hunting after yesterdays rain and looking a little less puffy and a little more bedraggled.
