Haha I think I would end up with more than a letter from the environmental health this time!

So my starling is an adult male ringed in Montrose, on 5/7/20 and I am his very 1st sighting ..just over 100 miles away from Montrose 

Glad to hear you have been working in the garden and not just taking photos, as that would never do!! It is nice to have a big garden but as you say the jobs are never done, always something to potter at. Good that you found out about the starling. I have a fellow that comes who has 3 rings, silver, orange and I think yellow but I will never get near enough to get a number. Mind you I do have a camera that I used before I got my iPad, maybe I will get that out again and see if I remember how to use it! It is only a basic one but will see what happens. The only scutter will be having to get the laptop on, which is an older one and needs to be charged all the time otherwise there is only an hours power, then download the photos onto it, before posting. I am so used to my iPad, using it all the time, taking a photo, making a post and picking the photo. Oh listen to me moaning, it is what other folk have to do all the time, I will investigate this and see what rubbish photos I get!!

LOL CL, my problem is planning..I dont do it, I just buy and plant where I think it looks nice lol..usually always wrong place! Will I ever learn lol
Is it a ringed starling you have visit aswell? Well as you know I take pics with my camera then need to transfer onto my tablet..very easy just insert SD card but now I was gifted with a new up to date tablet with a pinhole to eject the tray to insert the SD..am forever losing the pin and no up using my old tablet again lol..yes am moaning aswell lol...good luck getting ID on your feathered visitor
