In my garden.....

So instead of starting a new discussion everytime I get new visitors or decent shots of wildlife in the garden I shall just keep adding to this one.

So today it was the Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 of them chasing each other around the trees

Just managed to catch the 2 of them together

Then it was Woodpecker v Starlings....yes I see yous up there

Move out of my way as am coming up...

I said moooooove...

you were warned...

ah...peace to eat at last..

I Dont mind sharing with the dunnock though, just those pesky starlings I dont like lol

Dunnock, robin and thrush happily hopping about together

Gorgeousredwing still around

Flying without wings.....

I just like the different colours of the trees and sky not all grey for a change!

Mr & Mrs RRB (bad pic but it difficult to get them together)

and up last its a wee lollipop

Think that will do for today as I have probably bored you all long enough lol

Wonderful, cheery set of photos of your garden birds and I see the Goldcrest is making sure it gets on camera again ! I had to laugh at the sequence of two photos starting with Mr Greenfinch looking downwards from the feeder ... and the next photo was of Mr Siskin keeping Mrs Greenfinch company !!!

What is it with Goldcrest these days ? They seem to be showing up in everybody's gardens or local patches where as until recently they were thought of as a skulking little bird hiding away in conifers and dense bushes. I'm not complaining, it's one of my favourite small birds but I was wondering if they have changed their habits or are we looking even more closely due to being restricted in where we can go. My next problem is to convince our neighbour that the bird in our communal garden is a Goldcrest and not a Firecrest, Oh how I wish it was !! be a great garden tick.

Lovely Linda, your Thrush is singing for a mate maybe, all the other birds are happily feeding and the sun is shining, what more can we want.

Lovely additions and still a great variety in the garden. The Starlings are looking absolutely pristine and beautifully coloured.

I know what you mean Linda since i put some in a branch i have had loads of pigeons and Magpies eating it so i am going to put it in the fat ball feeder in future. The Robins and the blackbirds come to the fat ball feeder as well as everything else.
