  • Lovely find the orange tip, my local reserve, currently locked, has plenty of them, so nice to see yours

  • Windows 10 is almost a complete new platform, and is no substitute for an upgrade process, I found that one out the hard way, it cost me a new computer!

Incidentally,. the upgrade wasn't by choice, Microsoft forced it on me almost as soon as it was released, along with a great many others worldwide!

I was not happy, not only did I need a new computer, but all the peripherals, printer and others, had to be replaced!

Hopefully, by now all peripherals should be W10 ready, they should be, its been operational for long enough, so shouldn't be an issue.

Can only think your butterfly/moth is a Brimstone but can't really see it clearly enough ... if you google them you may be able to decide?

That's what's called hedging your bets, cos there is Brimstone butterfly & Brimstone moth !LOL

The red marks on the wing edge tell me it's a Brimstone Moth.

I firmly resisted all offers of free upgrade on my Win7 laptop ... only trying it out now on another (second- hand) one with 1TB space & purely for recording webcams & uploading & editing trailcam footage ... don't like it!!!

  • It's odd but my new computer came with windows 10 & the printer, 13 years old, still works, as does the keyboard & screen (about 7 years old). I personally couldn't see much difference to the old windows, but maybe I don't do any serious work on my photos.

  • With regard to downloading any pics/vids it seems very fussy & slow, too many options & often find things missing even though it says 'done' ... it's a pain & something I have neither the time or patience to deal with!

  • I just plug in the cable from the camera, & go into documents, select on my camera, click on all the photos & stick them all in another folder & then unplug the camera. Maybe it's easier than with a laptop, I don't know.

  • I am mainly downloading from a memory card via a reader & not same on Win10 as Win7, not nearly as straightforward!

  • It's a pain when they do these things. We've just had a new EDF electric meter put in. You can't read it yourself, it transmits data all the time to the distributing site on-line & you get get it all from there. Took us nearly an hour this morning to jump through all the hoops to set up the account. Even then you don't get a meter reading just your usage on a daily, weekly or monthly rate. Time will tell how long it will take us to get our monthly usage in the future. Why do they do this to us? We controlled our usage perfectly well before with our monthly readings. All it means is that a nice little man, who had a nice little job, will now be on the dole! Grrrrrr
