Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

I'm tempted to opt for mouse based on size, ears and the tail, which seems a lot slender than a rat.

Now have a family of teeny little ones, think there's a nest in the Frog hibernaculum ... Cat from over the road has moved in! Lol
Sitting in the garden this morning, tea, fruit pancakes and a cookie...ahh peace perfect peace me and the birds...then whoosh..it flew over the fence..twisted , turned and disappeared.....until I spotted it hiding......someone tried and failed to spoil the peace!!! As if the bamboo was gonna hide it!
