Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

Tree Sparrow, I have seen two of them but this one is keeping company with Mrs House Sparrow …..

That would be nice Nige as never seen a juvie TS; shame we can't tell male and female in Tree Sparrow as easily as we can with the House variety.

Hahahahaaaaaaaa….. tell the difference between male and female???? It's all I can manage to tell the difference between a flamingo and a goldfinch!! :o)
