Starting with a first for me ... Sparrowhawk in neighbour's garden here in quarry, only ever seen a seemingly lost youngster many years ago!
Grabbed ID vid footage through d/glazed door, then battery died & by time I'd replaced it to go outside for better res a delivery driver stopped next door & frightened the bird off!! grrrrrr
Hope it's a one-off for the sake of my Spadger horde!

A few odds and sods from yesterday
A new sighting, possibly a buzzard. I say new, we did have a resident pair of buzzards, until a lot of trees were chopped down locally, and I never saw them again. It looks like there may be a return, time will tell....
A magpie proudly wandering around the garden
A regular flypast of a solitary (I think a herring) gull
Blackbird
A starling using stealth to creep up on the live mealies lol
not many left when they finish although thankfully we only have the one pair who appear to be feeding young.
When you have been hard at it cutting the grass for almost an hour and take a well earned break....
Mr RRB takes over lol...
Courtyard birds:
lots of young mouths to feed and a kilo of live mealies due tomorrow
and another busy mother collecting afternoon tea !
and at the water garden we appear to have a Canada Goose nesting in the water fountain - which thankfully is not operational at the moment !
Lovely photos Hazels.
