New male who I've named Colin gave us a miss over Xmas & New Year's day so was very pleased to see him this afternoon, giving me a reason to start new thread in the hope there's some romance this year!
Grim & grey day here so light was bad for pics @ almost 15.00
Resolution in vid was a great improvement ... he looks almost too pretty to be a boy!! Trademark ending though ... start as you mean to go on!

Lot to learn
Mouse found a good meal (moth?) last evening.
IMAGICAT
Mouse the evening before last? I lost track.
Plenty of Jackdaw activity:
Arrival of MrsK last evening 21:20:
This morning she had a little flyabout and returned to perch closer to the cavity, she's still there now:
WendyBartter said:Hi Scylla have found & recorded it, there were no takers so she flew off with prey ... would you like me to upload to YT?
Yes please, if I'm not too late getting back here!
Unbeknownst to me the 6-hour clip came to an end and a new one started, and the fly-in was lost between end and beginning.
I coulda swore I saw a handover tho, but had only glimpsed it out of the corner of my eye.
Here it is Scylla
I also recorded the view from inside (cos I found that first!), res not nearly as good though
Excellent! Thank you, Wendy

They nearly always look very faded on the ledge from the inside - you done a great job! x
Yesterday morning a mouse foraged around 04:30:
Then MrsK arrived on the ledge around 06:00, not near the cavity, and stayed about half an hour.
The Jackdaws made several incursions into the cavity, one stole (probably) a piece of fluff as if it was dashing away with the crown jewels.
Later in the day it may have found a mummified chicklet:
I still can't get a decent snap of a moth so here's a spider:
It's been too rainy to get any nice snaps from outside, but I didn't see any Kestrels anyway.
