3 days of sunshine & Butterflies galore. Well, not really but we did see 3 Brimstones a Red Admiral & a Peacock. I did get a shot of the Brimstone flying, but I think trying to photograph Butterflies in flight is one of the first signs of madness. Anyway, it's high time I started this thread.

Talking of beautiful butterflies ... my friend Sandra paid me a visit today to deliver precious cargo (see Mostly Moths thread) & we called into my local nature reserve for lunch & a walk round ... very pleased to report many butterflies taking advantage of the wild blossoms, mainly Gatekeepers & Meadow Browns (flitty critters) but did come across this fairly calm Painted Lady on Hemp agrimony ...
