3 days of sunshine & Butterflies galore. Well, not really but we did see 3 Brimstones a Red Admiral & a Peacock. I did get a shot of the Brimstone flying, but I think trying to photograph Butterflies in flight is one of the first signs of madness. Anyway, it's high time I started this thread.

my photo's here
So, as promised (threatened), my butterfly additions from my Radipole/Arne sojourn...
A peacock....always reminds me of being a kid and our budlea bush
and not sure what any of the following are...
But they're pretty, and kept me entertained in a field for an hour or more waiting for the little beggars to land!!
I'll just add my Painted Lady, nowhere as good as all the above but it stayed on the path waiting for me until I shot into the house and picked up camera, yes still alive had moved on a yard of so:-)
Lot to learn
Definitely more Painted Ladies around this year than the previous few years. It's not often to get to shoot one against a blue sky though, but this one was on a tall plant on a raised bank so best to make the most of it ...
In fact I've seen more Painted Ladies than Commas! So, nice to find this one
