THIS THREAD IS NOW DISCONTINUED, please add to the new 2020 thread HERE
Often we don't have enough photos to create a full thread so thought I'd start an Odds & Sods thread where you may want to add a pic or two when you don't have enough for their own thread . Feel free to add your rogues gallery here !
I only had a couple of pics today, one a Treecreeper and the other a very hacked off looking Great Egret huddled against the reeds trying to keep warm !

Quite agree with you Mike, I came on two nights ago and tried to clear my notification box of about 16 posts, took me ages, tonight I find I have 24 to sort through, blow it, I'll be in bed cursing the hassle and still not have found them all!!!!!
Lot to learn

If you look on the right hand side there is a shaded box saying "Turn Reply notifications off"
Click on this and they stop. Unfortunately you may have to do this on each section you look at.
I have stopped getting them now.

Goosander. I suspect a female.
My bird photos HERE
That Great Tit does have a very shiny head. P'raps it's half Marsh Tit
Nice Goosander. I find it difficult to tell the red-heads apart. If I think I'm getting the hang of it, I see one that confuses me again!

We dropped in on the dungeon at pons today as there is often a wall-creeper around in winter. It was lovely sunny & so a good chance of seeing it, but its wasn't there. However a lovely consolation prize of a Grey Wagtail that was a bit of a poser.
Best wishes

What a pretty bird sitting there in the sunshine Hazel, is your wall creeper what we call a tree creeper over here?
I'm even more confused now, the posts seem to be all over the place!

Posts should appear in order as added Mike. Newest at the top. I have noticed, on occasion that sometimes when you post, it will go to the bottom of the first page but on a refresh it will appear at the top.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I am just going with the flow Mike, If I add to a post I then leave and hope it will appear somewhere, and usually as Catlady says it does appear as the newest post just underneath the old post from months (or years) ago!!!!!!!!
Gaynor, I believe that what you refer to as 'the old post from months (or years) ago!!!!!!', the one at the top of each thread, is probably the original initial post on that thread and that the most recent post is the next one down (when the setting is 'Newest' which seems to be the current default). Immediately after adding a post to a thread, your new post appears at the very bottom of the thread but it migrates to the position of most recent quickly thereafter. All clear now?--lol!
