My family have always liked birdwatching.I wonder why? :-) Sadly,don`t have one of dad at work but am spitting image of my uncle here :-)

Great pictures Edge and Bob, as you say, times gone by and we should never forget them or the tough times had by that generation of hard workers. Its nice to think some of the collieries are now nature areas, a fitting tribute to all those that worked on these sites methinks :) although I understand the closures of these mines caused a lot of heartache too.
