The sun came out properly on the 26th of February and although a bit chilly i headed up to the lodge to see what might be about at the meadow hide.A Green woodpecker was sunning itself on the dead trees at the back of the meadow, two Great Spotteds were visiting the feeders, occasionally having the odd squabble, plenty of Great and Blue tits, and an occasional coal tit along with chaffinches, the occasional siskin, nuthatch and goldfinch and three lesser redpolls were eagerly stocking up with food, scattering quickly when a male sparrowhawk did a fly through.... and three female pheasants enjoyed the extra feed put out for them too...
Was a very busy hide with plenty of people reacting to the emergence of that sun... here's the films I made from my visit...
